Spring Programs like Turf Training are critically important for the development of our travel and area school players - especially for those whose goal is to play at a consistent competition level and/or with collegiate aspirations.  The college game and area HS district and state playoff play is a fast-paced turf game.  We encourage any area player to come and train and learn the turf game with us as well as learn what the Mystx Field Hockey Club is all about.  Spring Training is open to any dedicated, committed athlete.  Travel and New Players are grouped by skill and competitive level, NOT by age.  The mission of Spring Training is to teach strong, consistent, basic skills and  fundamentals of the modern Turf game.  See below for more details

1. Sprouts (K-3rd grade) and Seedlings (4th-6th grades) are our introduction to hockey programs.  
2. Turf Skills Training - Sundays Beginning March 29
3. U10/U12 Travel - weekly 1.5 hour skill training. 9 weeks.  Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm, beginning March 31, Bryn Athyn College Junge Pavilion.  
4. U14 Travel - weekly 1.5 hour skill training. 9 weeks.  Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm, beginning March 31, Bryn Athyn College Junge Pavilion. 
5. U16 Travel - Friday 2 hour training sessions at Bryn Athyn, plus additional astro turf training on designated Sundays
6. U19 Travel - Friday 2 hour training sessions at Bryn Athyn, plus additional astro turf training on designated Sundays

Our Sprout & Seedling Skill & Play program was created to introduce the great, fun game of field hockey to youth in the area.  Each weekly session has a skill segment and free play to put learned skills to the test.  Our energetic and passionate teachers instill their love and passion for the game while teaching both the fundamental skills and tactics of todays modern game.  We look to create a strong, positive foundation for young players to grow a life-long desire to play and/or compete at school, club, college, and adult levels.  We further hope our young players' Sprout & Seedling experience will inspire them to tryout for our travel programs after a few years of skills and play.

The Sprout & Seedling Skill & Play Sessions are typically organized as 45' of skills, player and ball movement followed by 15' of small game for 4 weeks. 

• Sprouts - K-3rd Grade
• Seedlings - 4th-6th grade

Spring 2020 Sprout & Seeding Sunday Program:

•    OUTDOOR Skills and Game Play
•    Mouthguards and Shinguards required
•    Reversible club pinnie. One pinnie/year (Year = Fall'19 - Summer '20)
